Our story
Built on a Handshake and a Promise
Gold Star Roofing & Exteriors was founded in 1984 by a St. Louis tradesman who believed a roofing company should stand behind every nail it drives. What started as a one-truck operation serving the South County neighborhoods has grown into one of the region's most trusted roofing contractors — without ever losing that family-first mentality.
Over 40 years and more than 5,000 completed roofs later, we still operate the same way: show up on time, use quality materials, do the work right, and treat every home like it's our own. Our crews are long-tenured, background-checked, and take genuine pride in the work they leave behind.
We're not a national franchise or a storm-chasing outfit. We live here. Our kids go to school here. When a St. Louis hailstorm rolls through, we're the ones answering the phone at 6 AM — because this is our community too.
